Cappy has been in the commercial/industrial real estate business in the Houston/Gulf Coast area for over 33 years.
Cappy received his BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1966 and worked as a mechanical engineer in Austin from 1966 to 1970. He received his MBA in 1970 from the University of Texas. In 1970, he moved to Houston and worked one year for Appelt, Robeau, Balch as assistant to the President, Leslie L. Appelt. He then became a sales associate in 1971 and became an officer, owner and partner with the firm in 1981.
Cappy has been a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors since 1976 and served as President of the Houston Chapter SIOR in 1983. He has been active in SIOR and was a National Director in 1985. He belongs to the Texas Association of Realtors, was a Director in 1984, and was Commercial Multiple Listing Service Chairman in 1985. He served as a Director of the Northborough MUD in 1984 and 1985, and currently is serving as a Director of Bastrop County MUD #1, and Trustee of Trinity Health Services Foundation.
Now a grandfather, Cappy is celebrating 35 years of marriage to his wife Margie, and they have two children. He resides in Brenham and enjoys golf, fishing and flying his Cessna 182 Skylane and spending time with his grandson Nolan.
Bringing his experience to the role of Senior Vice President, of Colliers International, Cappy’s wide verse of experience includes representing major corporations such as Armco Steel, Bethlehem Steel, Veritas, Baker Hughes, Smith International, Oxy USA, Cooper Cameron, Dow Chemical and many others in the sale and leasing of Corporate Industrial facilities.
Cappy is involved in his community and the real estate industry. He is actively associated with Houston Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, Texas MBA Club, Houston Realty Breakfast Club, Houston Chamber of Commerce, Conroe Chamber of Commerce, Beaumont Chamber of Commerce, Brenham Chamber of Commerce, and Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce. He is currently active working with the Nacogdoches Economic Development Foundation on the redevelopment of a 300,000 sq. ft. industrial facility into a multi-tenant business park.
