Since joining Colliers International (formerly NAI Welsh) in 1997, Vice President Brian Netz has focused on leasing and selling industrial and office properties and land in the west, southwest and southeast suburbs of the Twin Cities, as well as outside of the metro area. His specialties lie in landlord representation, as well as representing companies and individuals in their search for space to lease or purchase.  Brian has consistently been ranked as a top producer for Colliers International and his resume includes over 500 sale and lease transactions totaling over 8,000,000 square feet and $180,000,000 in total consideration.

Brian represents a portfolio of more than 2 million square feet. His current listing assignments include Valley Oaks Distribution Center, a 183,120-square foot building in Shakopee; Chanhassen Lakes Business Park, a 109,649 square foot flex building for lease in Chanhassen; Chaska Corporate Center, two land parcels totaling fifteen acres, a 48,000 square foot USDA Food Production Facility for General Mills, as well as many large and small buildings for private investors or companies.

In representing real estate owners, Brian handles every step of the real estate process for his clients, including the gathering of market information, marketing the property to both end users and the brokerage community, telephone prospecting, conducting property showings, and negotiating the final terms of the sale or lease.

When representing Tenants or Buyers, Brian guides them through the entire process by working closely with ownership and/or management to assure their goals and requirements are met by helping them to determine their space needs, and then carefully identifying the most appropriate space options available. He works diligently and aggressively to negotiate the most favorable business terms for his clients allowing for a smooth transition from start to finish.  

Brian also has a comprehensive network of contacts to help his clients with every facet of the real estate process, from legal, design, or construction services, on down to office furniture, racking, voice and data, moving, and most anything else needed.


Value Added Through Aggressive Marketing Efforts

Brian was hired by CORE Realty Holdings in late 2010 to handle the marketing efforts on a two building complex in Chanhassen, Minnesota totaling over 100,000 square feet, and a vacant parcel of land.  When hired, the property had a vacancy level of sixty-five percent.  Brian used his market knowledge and marketing efforts to target market the many vacancies in the complex to his database of Tenant contacts, and in just under twenty months was able to complete fourteen transactions to dispose of the land parcel and the property remains 100% occupied today.  

Dollars Saved Through Speed of Delivery

Brian recently represented a local firm in their relocation and completed a site search, site tour, and negotiation of lease terms, all in less than a week. Brian’s efforts to complete these duties in a timely manner saved his client thousands of dollars by avoiding a holdover penalty from their previous landlord.
