After completing his college studies at the University of Miami in 1969, Mr. Widelitz entered the retail sales market as a buyer; importing clothes from overseas through 1987, for his own privately owned company, as well as department and chain stores.
In 1987, upon obtaining his real estate brokers license, Arnold joined New York’s most prominent retail firm, Garrick-Aug Store Leasing; reaching the level of sales manager during his 20 year tenure. Mr. Widelitz represented several companies, including Sears and Circuit City during their expansion.
Arnold joined Sutton & Edwards, Inc as Director (now Colliers International LI Inc) in 2003 to assist in the development of the retail department.
Over the years, Mr. Widelitz has worked with landlords and tenants, as well as securing tenants for landlords on future projects before construction has commenced; and has led teams to handle the national expansion of retail chains on Long Island.
Arnold has been Vice President of the Jewlett East Rockaway Jewish Center; and is actively involved in the Ronald McDonald House, Big Brothers Big Sisters.
He currently resides with his wife on Long Island .
