Achievements

With 40 sales associates, marketing assistants, and support personnel under his supervision, Bill's department is the largest full-service brokerage organization in the country operating out of a single office. Since becoming its head, both sales and earnings have more than tripled with Bill himself conducting 700 transactions having an aggregate value in excess of $800 million with 300 of those transactions having an individual value in excess of $1 million. Bill's expertise is publicly recognized and touted as evidenced by the National Association of Office and Industrial Parks' awarding Bill the first "Broker of the Year" award in 1985 and nine years later presenting him with the award again, making him the only multiple winner of the award in history.

The largest sale of vacant industrial land in the history of the market was negotiated by Bill in 1979 and involved selling 700 acres in the Twinsburg Industrial Park to the Geis Construction Co. and Highland SOM Development Co. Other large transactions negotiated by Bill included the sale of Raintree Industrial Park consisting of 58 acres of land with 14 buildings totaling 1,000,000 SF and having a market value of $20 million. Bill also structured a build/lease of a 300,000 SF headquarters facility for Lucas Aerospace Power Equipment Corporation, including 100,000 SF of office space, all situated on 32 acres of land. This state-of-the-art cellular manufacturing facility is the premier plant of its type in the world.

With respect to land acquisition, Bill served as the official acquisition agent for the Greater Cleveland Domed Stadium Corporation, where he assembled 43 parcels in downtown Cleveland to make way for Jacob's Field and Gund Arena. The Gateway development was the largest private, central-city property assemblage ever successfully concluded in the country. He prepared the site selection analysis for the Cleveland Browns Stadium, in which he recommended that the new stadium be constructed in the old site. Bill also coordinated the land assemblage for the development of Shaker Towne Center in the City of Shaker Heights and is currently the real estate advisor for the City of South Euclid.
