Rodney is currently a Vice President with Colliers Turley Martin Tucker Corporate Solutions providing Supply Chain Advisory Services. He has over 18 years of supply chain, transportation, distribution, and consulting experience with a focus on strategic network design and inventory optimization - utilizing technology to drive supply chain improvements. Prior to entering Supply Chain Consulting, Rodney was the Corporate Logistics Engineering Manager for TruServ Corporation (True Value Company) and has held several logistics management positions with United Parcel Service and UPS Supply Chain Solutions.
- Performed strategic network analysis for a leading wholesale distributor of outdoor products resulting in a total logisticscost savings opportunity of $3.9 million annually. Relocated the Western US distribution center, which provided an 11% improvement in product transit time to meet the goal of a two-day service limit. The majority of the savings identified was achieved through a product consolidation strategy and inventory optimization.
- Led the strategic analysis and re-design of a distribution network for an expanding pharmaceutical retailer resulting in an overall network logistics cost savings opportunity of $2.25 million annually. Planned storage capacity to accommodate expected SKU proliferation and throughput growth for a 5-7 year time horizon.
- Performed an inventory assessment for a wholesale distributor using the leading finished goods advanced inventory optimization (AIO) modeling toolkit. Identified the following areas of improvement: A 53% reduction in average network inventory dollars; potential inventory turns performance improvement from a baseline of 4.6 per year to 9.8 and a service level improvement from a baseline fill rate of 78% to a corporate target of 92%.
- Responsible for providing Industrial Engineering and Supply Chain support services and deploying a facility network consolidation strategy (due to merger) – of 23 facilities to 14, ranging in size from 300K sq ft to one million sq ft
