Company Experience

Mike joined the Ostendorf-Morris Company, now Colliers Ostendorf-Morris in September 1997. Currently, Mike is the Director of Information Systems.  Colliers Ostendorf-Morris has three locations which connect through High Speed VPN connectivity.  Under Mike’s leadership, all users have the ability to connect remotely.  All e-mails, voice mails, and faxes land in the Inbox of the users e-mail and in some cases, move over to the wireless phones in use today.  Today, Colliers Ostendorf-Morris has the infrastructure and design to compete and excel with the ability to service its clients no matter where either are located. 

Mike came to the Ostendorf-Morris Company as Network Manager/Help Desk Support.  The Ostendorf-Morris Company then merged with Colliers Macaulay Nicolls out of Toronto in 1998, and Mike was promoted to Senior Information Systems Analyst.  In 2003, Mike was promoted to Director of Information Systems.

Professional Experience

Prior to working for Colliers, Mike was a tape librarian and mainframe operator in the late 1980’s and worked his way to Lead Operator, responsible for three individuals and nightly production in the early 1990’s.  In the mid-to-late 1990’s, Mike shifted from Operations and Computer Programming to Networking and PC’s and has since been designing and configuring networks for small to mid-sized companies throughout Northeast Ohio.

Mike is also a veteran of the Armed Forces.  Mike entered the Army in 1985 and was Honorably Discharged from the Armed Forces in 1994.  Mike served 9 years and acquired many leadership and academic awards for his dedication, commitment, teamwork and understanding of the mission(s) at hand.

Achievements
Mike has over 20 years experience in the Information Technology Industry.  Mike was one of three students to finish a Cisco and Microsoft training class of 20 without failing any tests along the way as he acquired his MCSE (Microsoft Certified Software Engineer) and CCNA (Certified Cisco Network Associate).  Mike’s compassion, dedication and understanding of the computing world has been excellently displayed throughout the years. 

Mike has obtained a wide variety of skills in different computing environments through his employment over 20 years in the industry.  Mike has been awarded Employee of the Year at past employment firms and has been recognized by Colliers Ostendorf-Morris as an Employee of the Year candidate with outstanding commitment to the firm on multiple occasions.  It is sometimes difficult to find the diverse skill set that Mike has acquired over the years.  Mike’s knowledge and under-standing of computing as it relates to the commercial real estate industry has enhanced the lives and well being of the brokers, support staff and management of many Colliers Ostendorf-Morris Employee’s past and present.
