Michael T. Fay is known as a business development rainmaker. As Chairman of the local South Florida offices, he has a key role as a relationship driver and decision maker. He works as a key member of over a dozen teams. On a national level, Michael spearheads and is a founder of the firm’s Note Sales Team, Colliers Asset Resolution Team (CART) and Colliers Automotive Real Estate Services (CARS) Group. He is also a member of the Distressed Property Services Group and Colliers Investment Services Group (CISG). He is also a member of a corporate land sales team that handles surplus properties.
 
Michael has over 28 years of work out experience. Over the course of his career, he has closed over $3 billion in transactions. Michael specializes in REO and note sales, as well as strategy and implementation for large national corporate real estate accounts. He works with lenders, special servicers, institutional and local owners, private investors, REITs, hedge funds, national and local banks, insurance companies, bankruptcy courts and commercial debt restructuring firms.
 
He has extensive knowledge and experience in banking as a past founder and director of a community bank. His intimate knowledge of what it takes to work through complex issues stems not only from his real estate career, but his extensive family legal background with his father and uncle, both federal judges for many years.
 

 
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Michael is a current member and Chairman of the Board of Directors for Informed Families/The Florida Family Partnership, a nonprofit organization with education, training and support center for parents, schools and communities to help raise safe, healthy and drug-free children, and the "Say No To Drugs" and Red Ribbon Week sponsor. Michael is the youngest Senior Member of the Orange Bowl Committee, and is currently serving on the Miami-Dade Community Advisory Board for AvMed Health Plans.
