The Colliers CRE research & forecasting department provides expert advice and a wide range of specialist services including a property market forecasting capability, to clients and other departments within the company.
With its origin dating back to the 1980s, the department has grown over the years to become one of the leading and most established players in the market. Fundamental to its success has been its focus on providing bespoke, research-based solutions to clients across a diversity of property sectors. Our value is in our ability to analyse, interpret and advise, bringing together a broad combination of skills including economics, geography, property, planning and investment experience.
Research
We produce research reports in support of other departments within Colliers CRE and to promote and market the company as a whole. The annual In Town Retail Rents Map, which is an industry standard, and our quarterly Central London Offices are just two of our growing list of publications which now also include specialist sectors such as hotels, healthcare and motor trade.
The research team also also write articles for the property press and give radio/TV interviews and speak at conferences to raise the profile of the company.
Forecasting
Our forecasting team has developed an in-house (IPD - based) model that forecasts the main sectors of the UK property market five years ahead, covering indicators such as rental growth, capital growth and total returns. The team also publish the quarterley REIF (Real Estate Investment Forecasts).
Consultancy
The department has an enviable track record of providing value-added advice to a wide range of clients, including local authorities, developers, land owners, investment institutions and retailers.
Our strong reputation in the property field is reflected in our work for central government departments, through regular repeat business and requests to act as an expert witness at public inquiries.
We advise clients across a broad range of property sectors, subjects and geographies. Recent reports include economic studies, strategy plans, need/capacity assessments, location studies, feasibility and impact analyses and consumer/market research.
