Colliers International (Ukraine) in the 1st quarter 2009 leased out over 10,000 sqm office space, that is the record amount as to the first quarter of the year since Colliers International launched business in Ukraine. It is worthwhile to say, that Colliers International is the most active agent on the market in terms of the leasing transactions volume.

The given amount is a result of the tenants’ activity aimed at the rental terms optimization, that frequently leads to further relocation. Alexander Nosachenko, Managing Director Colliers International (Ukraine) stated: “It is expected that the year 2009 might become a favorable time for relocations and/or leasing terms renegotiations as long as landlords provide attractive offers to the market”.

Among the latest remarkable transactions there are two leasing agreements in Business Park Protasov totalling 7,500 sqm where Colliers International was acting on behalf of the Landlord. The tenants of the given space are ABB Group - big international company in automation and power technologies and GlobalLogic Ukraine - the leading specialist in providing global software product services.

Also 440 sqm office space had been leased out to advertising agency Maxima Kiev in Business Center on 34D Saksahanskoho St. belonging to the leading international investment fund Dragon Capital being represented by Collies International in this deal.

In addition, Colliers International leased over 230 sqm in the prestigious business center Leonardo (19-21A Bohdana Khmelnytskoho St.) to the leading Spanish retailer Inditex Group (Zara, Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius) for their first representative office in Ukraine. 

As it has been announced prior, in January 2009 Colliers International leased out over 3,000 sqm in Deloitte BC (48-50 Zhylyanska St.), Karat BC (110, Zhylyanska St.), and office building on 26 Turgenivska St.
