James Ullrich, investment specialist with Colliers Arnold, has been appointed to the Young Professionals III Forum of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) National Forums, according to 2008 National Forums Chair Jerold Franke, of WISPARK LLC, Milwaukee, Wis.
As a member of the Young Professionals III Forum, Ullrich will participate in bi-annual meetings comprised of talented industry professionals. The Forum meetings provide a platform for members to develop long lasting relationships with commercial real estate colleagues while sharing their interests and expertise in specific topic areas. These topic areas typically include, but are not limited to, the identification of trends and an assessment of their likely outcome; opportunities and how to harness them; problems and proposed solutions; and the impact of environmental factors in commercial real estate. In addition, Forum members present and examine case studies and discuss market conditions impacting their fellow members and organizations across the county.
The Young Professionals Forums are open to NAIOP's Developing Leaders. Developing Leaders is for NAIOP members who are 35 years old and younger, and is dedicated to promoting the careers of young commercial real estate professionals. Participating in a Young Professionals Forum is an exciting opportunity to network with peers on a national level.
NAIOP developed National Forums to provide exclusive networking and experience exchange for senior-level NAIOP members with 10 or more years of industry experience and one or more years of association membership. However, this requirement is waived for Developing Leaders members with significant career experience. Members are appointed for a three-year term that may be renewed. A Forum atmosphere is one of trust, sincerity and confidentiality. Each Forum comprises of approximately 20 individuals, which provides an optimum platform for dynamic discussion and debate among the participants.
Each of the following 24 National Forums will meet during the National Forums Symposium, April 29 - May 2, 2008 in New York, N.Y.: Business Park Development, Build-to-Suit Development, Capital Markets (I, II, III, & IV), Contractors, Family Owned Business, Industrial Development (I, II & III), Investment Management, Mixed-Use Development (I & II), Office Development (I & II), Private Developers (I, II & III), Sustainable Development, Trends in Real Estate Development (I & II), Urban Redevelopment, and the Young Professionals (I, II & III) Forums.
