NEW YORK, September 22, 2009- Colliers ABR, Inc., a leading full service commercial real estate service firm, announced today that John R. Gallagher has joined the firm as the Managing Director of Brokerage Services.

In this role, Mr. Gallagher will be responsible for monitoring business development opportunities and establishing operating requirements for professional service groups and to develop and increase cross-selling opportunities in the New York office. In addition to his business development initiatives, Mr. Gallagher is responsible for the recruitment of brokerage professionals, as well as coordination and oversight of brokerage training and development programs.

John previously served as Director of Brokerage Services at Cushman & Wakefield, Inc., where he managed brokerage and business line staff in the Midtown and Downtown offices and was responsible for professional development and leadership programs to attract, retain and motivate sales and service line professionals to maximize revenue goals.

John holds a B.B.A. in Business and Public Management from SUNY Institute of Technology at Utica.  John is an active member of the American Management Association, International, 2000 International Who’s Who in Management and New York Senator Charles Schumer “Group of 35.”
