Colliers Turley Martin Tucker is committed to the greater Nashville community. We volunteer our time to hundreds of organizations, many of which our employees, associates and company support financially. As well, we are active in civic and business organizations, working together to grow our city and improve the quality of life in Nashville and our neighboring communities.
Ronald McDonald House
Colliers Turley Martin Tucker is proud to have been the title sponsor for the 2005 Ronald McDonald House Golf Tournament. The Nashville employees and associates helped solicit sponsors, sold auction/dinner tickets, gathered auction items and of course, golfed.
The event took place on Monday, October 7th at the Richland Country Club. The employees and associates volunteered throughout the day and over $100,000 was raised from the tournament and auction. All proceeds support the ongoing operation of the Nashville Ronald McDonald House which provides a home-away-from-home for families of seriously ill children seeking medical care at local area hospitals. We will be back next year as the 2006 Ronald McDonald House Golf Tournament
Where can you find a broker on a Monday night…serving dinner at the Ronald McDonald House. Not only did they prepare white chili, salad and dessert for the 40 house guests, they entertained the guests and staff with their wit and charm. Last month the support staff prepared dinner and in the next few weeks our property management group and another group of brokers will descend upon the house for additional meals. We are not sure who has more fun…the guests or Colliers Turley Martin Tucker volunteers.
If you would like to volunteer or sponsor the Ronald McDonald House, contact Molly Jennings at 615-301-2833 or visit their website, www.rmhnashville.com.
Hurricane Katrina
In the true sense of “volunteering”…the Nashville office collected food and personal items setting up collection bins at their properties. The generosity of the tenants was overwhelming and CTMT was able to deliver food to Second Harvest and distribute boxes of toiletries and toys to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Plus…Nashville’s staff and associates raised $11,000. The company overall raised $75,915 and with a MATCHING check from Colliers Turley Martin Tucker, a check in the amount of $151,830 has been sent to the American Red Cross.
Winners Walk Tall
“Our goal is to develop today’s youth into tomorrow’s WINNERS through character-building programs that teach fundamental values and skills”
Colliers Turley Martin Tucker volunteers every week in the 1st through 5th grade classrooms at Lakeview Elementary. Working with the teachers and students we stress the value of character, integrity and honesty. This is the second year for teaming up with Lakeview and the few hours we spend with the children are priceless for our volunteers.
