Millhouse Company – the developer of a new shopping and entertainment center Arena Mall in Omsk – has signed a contract with an international household goods operator OBI. It was announced at the presentation of SEC Arena Mall on July, 3 in the Royal Bar restaurant in Moscow.

The OBI store with a total area of 17,200 sq. m. will be located on the territory of the shopping complex. The building is currently under construction.

The shopping and entertainment complex Arena Mall is located on one of Omsk main thoroughfares –  Lukashevicha Street, on the left bank of the Irtysh River, just a few minutes’ drive from the historical center of the city. Nowadays the left bank is becoming a full-fledged center of the city with the growing number of modern buildings, and the announced development of SEC Arena Mall is to become a key project for the city that will accommodate major world trademarks.

The total area of the SEC comprises 135,000 sq. m. The shopping gallery is represented by the best world brands of men’s, ladies’ and kid’s clothes. The anchor tenants will include well-known professional retail operators that have not been represented in the region yet. The preliminary agreements have been reached with hypermarket Carrefour,  multiplex Karo Film, entertainment center Igromax. Besides the cinema, children center , bowling and billiards, SEC Arena Mall will accommodate an ice skating rink with an area of 1,100 sq. m. For the convenience of the visitors the new retail project will provide 4,000 parking lots.

SEC Arena Mall is scheduled for opening in late 2009.

Colliers International Company is the project’s exclusive consultant on marketing and lease of retail premises. The project’s architect is Laguarda.Low Architects.LLC with headquarters in Dallas, Texas, USA.

Leading international and Russian retail operators attended the presentation of SEC Arena Mall. The guests were greeted by the Head of Millhouse Marketing Real Estate Department and the project manager Roman Direktovich, Development and Construction Director, Member of the OBI Board of Directors in Russia Martin Hubmann, Regional Director of Capital Advisory Department and Retail Property Department at Colliers International Maxim Gasiev.

Potential tenants that attended the event could see an architectural model of the complex and a multimedia promo. The participants of the project discussed their plans for the future.
