MINNEAPOLIS—(February 7, 2008)—The Minneapolis/St. Paul office of Colliers Turley Martin Tucker (Colliers), a world-wide leader of commercial real estate services, today announced that Mark Kolsrud, CPM has become a shareholder; Duane Poppe, CCIM has been promoted from senior associate to second vice president within its Industrial Sales and Leasing division; and Brian Woolsey has been promoted from associate to senior associate within its Office Brokerage division.
Kolsrud, a senior vice president at Colliers at the senior member of the firm’s Institutional Investment division, joined Colliers in 1991. Prior to joining Colliers, he worked in Holland, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom as a real estate consultant. He began his career in 1984 at the Robert Bobblett Association, where he was responsible for managing, leasing and renewing nearly five million-square feet of property. Throughout his career, Kolsrud has sold and leased more than 18 million-square feet and completed more than $1 billion in investment sales.
To become a Colliers shareholder, employees must meet a number of specified criteria in the areas of personal attributes, production, longevity, leadership, and professional designations.
Poppe, who teams with Colliers’ Jeff Pearson and Ryan Elmer on north metro industrial sales and leasing and is also a member of the Corporate Solutions team, has worked at Colliers since 2001. His talents in commercial real estate have been highly recognized; in 2005 he received the MNCAR (Minnesota Commercial Association of Realtors) Rising Star Award, the Colliers Rising Star Award, and the Colliers Dorsey Circle of Excellence Award. During his tenure with Colliers he has represented a wide range of industrial and corporate clients, including AmeriPride, the Beard Group, Ecolab, Johnson & Johnson, Netflix, Procter & Gamble, Ritz Camera, Smarte Cart, and more. Prior to joining Colliers, Poppe spent six years as an investment executive with Piper Jaffray.
Woolsey has been a member of the Colliers’ Office Brokerage team since 2003 after graduating from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and completing an internship with United Properties. Woolsey, who was awarded the 2003 CCIM Minnesota/Dakotas Chapter Scholarship to pursue advance Real Estate education and designations, teams with Larry Chevalier, SIOR, on tenant representation and office building sales in the Minneapolis CBD.
