Donna Abood
Chief Executive Officer
Donna Abood became Chief Executive Officer of Coral Gables-based Colliers Abood Wood-Fay in September, 2005, when Abood Wood-Fay acquired Colliers South Florida. This acquisition immediately expanded Abood Wood-Fay’s reach worldwide and made Donna Abood the only female CEO of a Colliers partnership worldwide. As CEO of the firm, Ms. Abood is responsible for overseeing all operations of the firm. In addition, she serves as the principal responsible for the production, profitability and client service of the leasing division.
Ms. Abood serves as a business resource to her clients in creating and implementing marketing plans to increase office building occupancy rates and negotiates for clients in a tenant representation capacity. In 2008, Colliers Abood Wood-Fay leased more than 1,963,301 square feet totaling more than $152 million in total lease values. The sales division produced approximately $252.5 million in investment sales during the last year. The firm currently leases and manages more than 3.9 million square feet of commercial property in the Tri-County area.
Previously, Ms. Abood served as Chief Executive Officer of Abood Wood-Fay Real Estate Group/TCN Worldwide, which was formed in 2002 when she merged her firm, Abood & Associates, Inc. with Wood-Fay Realty Group. Prior to the formation of Abood Wood-Fay Real Estate Group, LLC, she was the principal and sole owner of Abood & Associates, Inc. Created in 1989, Abood & Associates grew to be the largest privately held, locally based commercial real estate firm in Miami-Dade County.
Before her entrepreneurial endeavors, Ms. Abood was Vice President of the Commercial Division of Terranova Corporation. Between 1984 and 1989, she developed and implemented marketing plans for the turnaround of distressed office properties and represented several companies, including Polaroid Corporation, Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and Club Med, in their search for office space. It was also during this time that she began to develop a reputation for her ability to train and develop many of the leasing agents in South Florida.
Ms. Abood has been recognized with numerous awards, including being named one of the Top Women in Florida Commercial Real Estate. In June 2004, Ms. Abood was honored as an "Ultimate CEO" in Miami-Dade County. In 2006, Ms. Abood was awarded Business Woman of the Year by the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce. In 2007, she was a finalist in the South Florida Business Journal’s Business Woman of the Year. Most recently, Ms. Abood was named one of Real Estate Forum’s 2009 National Women of Influence.
Currently, Ms. Abood serves as Secretary for the Beacon Council, Miami-Dade County’s economic development partnership. She also sits on the Board of Directors for Miracle Theater and the Real Estate Institute of Florida State University. At the Beacon Council, she has served on the Executive Committee for the last 11 years. In recent years she served as Chairman of the Membership Committee and the Local Business Local Jobs Task Force. She has also chaired the Long Term Strategic Plan Committee, where she led the Beacon Council in creating its long-term business strategy, revised its bylaws and identified the top targeted industries for Miami-Dade County.
In addition, Ms. Abood served as a past Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce. She has also served several terms for the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of Coral Gables and CREW Miami. On behalf of the Rotary Club of Coral Gables, she was responsible for chairing the Coral Gables Promenade Dinner, an annual progressive dinner, where she raised significant funds for Infants in Need. She has served as chairperson for numerous other civic and non-profit organizations in fundraising efforts.
Ms. Abood graduated from Florida State University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing Management. She is a resident of Coral Gables.

Michael T. Fay
President
Michael T. Fay became President of Colliers Abood Wood-Fay in September 2005, when Abood Wood-Fay Real Estate Group acquired the Colliers South Florida offices. As President of the firm Mr. Fay is responsible for strategic growth and elements of marketing for the firm. In addition, he is the principal responsible for the production and profitability of the sales division of the firm and one of the firm’s lead dealmakers. Over the course of his career, he has closed over $2 billion in transactions. Mr. Fay is spearheading Colliers Abood Wood-Fay’s Distressed Property Services Group and the Colliers Automotive Real-Estate Services (CARS) Group.
Mr. Fay previously served as President of Abood Wood-Fay, formed in 2002 when he merged his firm Wood-Fay Realty Group with Abood & Associates. Prior to the formation of Abood Wood-Fay, he was President of the Wood-Fay Realty Group. He and Thomas D. Wood established the firm in July, 1989 as a highly specialized commercial real estate brokerage firm. Their activities included the sale of commercial and industrial properties in addition to various advisory services performed for their clients. Within the sales activities, they handled the representation of sellers and buyers through acquisition and disposition of investor and user properties.
Mr. Fay was not only President and Principal of Wood-Fay Realty Group, but he has also been the firm’s leading investment sales broker. Included in his list of clients and representations are a number of insurance companies and financial institutions who have enlisted him to advise and/or sell properties from their REO portfolio. In the past several years, he has been engaged in the management and liquidation of a large portfolio of properties for the U.S. Marshals Service. He has also assisted industrial users in expansion, liquidation or consolidation of their real estate assets. Investors have relied on him for the acquisition or disposition of income producing properties. He has worked with a number of users and investors who have been involved in eminent domain legal proceedings, which have created relocation and property replacement needs.
Prior to the inception of Wood-Fay Realty Group, Fay was a principal salesperson in development and management at the Ft. Lauderdale office of Hopkins-Easton & Associates. He began his real estate career as an Executive Management Associate for the Lennar Corporation. In addition to his real estate ventures, Fay is a former founder and director of Beach Bank on Miami Beach, now Sun American Bank.
Mr. Fay is the recipient of the 2003 Maroone/South Florida Business Journal’s Up & Comer’s Awards Program after being a four time finalist in 1993, 1994, 1996, and 1997.
Also in 2003 Fay received the NAIOP Award of Excellence in the Sale of the Year category. Fay was also named a finalist in Ernst & Young/South Florida Business Journal’s Real Estate Deal of the Year Award for 2003, 1997 and 1996. He is the recipient of the 2000 Commercial Realtor Association of Greater Miami and the Beaches’ "Pinnacle Awards", taking 1st place as Top Producer in Office, Industrial, Land, and Income Property categories, and as overall Top Producer for 1999. Again in 2001, he took 1st place in Industrial and Income Property categories, the winner of the "Deal of the Year Award" and NAIOP Deal of the Year 2003. The Daily Business Review named him "Best Connected" in South Florida and in July of 2004, he was named "Heavy Hitter in Real Estate" by the South Florida Business Journal.
Mr. Fay earned his BA Degree in Business in three years from LaGrange College. He is a former past president of the Commercial Realtor Association of Greater Miami and the Beaches and also a former member of the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity. Mr. Fay is a current member and Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for Informed Families/ The Florida Family Partnership, a nonprofit organization with education, training and support center for parents, schools and communities to help raise safe, healthy and drug-free children, and the "Say No To Drugs" and Red Ribbon Week sponsor. Additionally, Fay has also served on the Advisory Board of the Jerome Bain Real Estate Institute of Florida International University and on the board of "Gift of Adoption". Mr. Fay is the youngest Senior Member of the Orange Bowl Committee, and is currently serving on the Miami-Dade Community Advisory Board for AvMed Health Plans.
Mr. Fay is married with two children. He resides in Miami with his family where outside of work he pursues his passion for surfing, boating and wakeboarding. In 2009 he placed third in the Veteran’s Division of the World Wakeboarding Association’s National Championship and seventh in the WWA’s World Championships Veteran’s Division.

Thomas D. Wood, Jr.
Chief Operating Officer
Thomas D. Wood is the Chief Operating Officer and Principal of Colliers Abood Wood-Fay and Colliers Abood Wood-Fay Management where he is responsible for the overseeing of day-to-day operations and financial controls of both companies. He is also the President of Thomas D. Wood and Company where he is responsible for mortgage loan production and the supervision of all aspects of servicing operations, day-to-day management functions, investor relations and all accounting functions.
Thomas D. Wood and Company is an independently owned, full service commercial mortgage banking firm located in Coral Gables, Florida. Ranked one of South Florida’s largest commercial mortgage lenders, the Company was incorporated in 1977. Its principal shareholder’s are Thomas D. Wood, Sr. and Thomas D. Wood, Jr.
The firm is actively engaged in the placement of long-term commercial real estate mortgage loans in the state of Florida. In addition to originating quality loans, Thomas D. Wood and Company services a portfolio in excess of $700,000,000 in mortgage loans for its nationwide correspondent investors.
Prior to the formation of Colliers Abood Wood-Fay, Mr. Wood was the Treasurer of Wood-Fay Realty Group and served on the Board of Directors as well as being a Principal of the firm. He and Michael T. Fay established the firm in July of 1989 as a highly specialized commercial real estate brokerage firm. Their activities included the sale of commercial and industrial properties in addition to various advisory services performed for their clients. Within the sales activities, they handled the representation of sellers and buyers through acquisition and disposition of investor and user properties. From 1995 until 1999, Wood served on the Board of Directors of Keystone Realty Advisors, Inc. where he held the position of Treasurer. His institutional experience began at Sunbank/Miami, N.A. where he was an Investment Banking Associate and Senior Credit Analyst. He rose to those positions after starting with the company as a management trainee and credit analyst in 1985.
Mr. Wood graduated from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Administrative Management. He earned his Master of Science in Management with a concentration in Finance from Florida International University in Miami, Florida in 1984. He also earned his NASD Series 7 license in July of 1986 and his Mortgage Bankers license in August 1988.
