THE ORANGE BOWL COMMITTEE

The Orange Bowl Committee, since its inception in 1935, has brought tourism to South Florida through the annual month long Orange Bowl Festival that is comprised of the Orange Bowl College Football Game and many other team sporting events and competitions. Each year the OBC awards top students college scholarship. During the 2001 National Championship game, the festival injected more than $107 million into the economy of the South Florida Community, where the OBC is always at work to benefit and aid students and young citizens.  Michael T. Fay, President of Abood Wood-Fay, was the youngest member ever elected to the OBC. Both he and Thomas D. Wood, Jr. have served on the Board of Directors. They have served on numerous committees including the Host Committee each festival season and Fellowship of Christian Athletes Prayer Breakfast.

THE JUNIOR ORANGE BOWL COMMITTEE

The Junior Orange Bowl Committee claims the honor of being known as the “Largest International Youth Sports and Arts Festival”. The annual youth parade is the grand finale of the annual festival that includes 20 sports, art, and music competitions and events for children from 5 to 18. The Junior Orange Bowl Committee is a fully volunteer operated organization that remains committed and dedicated to the youth of South Florida and the world by providing opportunities for wholesome, competitive, and multi-cultural experiences.
