Colliers International Turkey assisted CanWest Media - the owner of two popular Turkish radio stations: Super FM and Metro FM - with its office lease in Sisli, one of the most popular business locations in Istanbul.

Following the launch of its operations in Turkey, CanWest leased nearly 1,500 sqm (16,140 sqft) in the C.E.M. building as its headquarters.

The property is a nine-storey 14,519 sqm (156,244 sqft) Class B office building, and CanWest occupies the entire fourth floor.

Accenture, a global consulting and outsourcing company, appointed Colliers International to relocate its premises or to renegotiate its current lease in Is Kule, a prime office building in Levent, one of the most important business districts in Istanbul.

Accenture has occupied over 500 sqm (5,380 sqft) since the building was delivered to the market in 2000. Colliers was able to renegotiate the lease terms for the benefit of the tenant, saving more than 20% of the previous lease costs.

Advised by Colliers International, Royal Dutch Shell and Turcas Petrol have leased 8,000 sqm (86,080 sqft) of office space in Esentepe, Istanbul in the largest agency transaction in the office sector in 2006.

The two companies will move their offices from Bostanci and Atakule Darphane to Block B of the Karamanci Business Center, one of the first international-style office parks in Turkey.

Acting as an advisor to Sunjut, one of the owners of the 50,000 sqm (161,400 sqft) Sun Plaza office building, Colliers International Turkey assisted in the leasing of almost 800 sqm (8,608 sqft) of office space to Emaar Properties, a Dubai-based public joint-stock developer.

Sun Plaza is a prestigious Class A office building in Maslak, the largest business district in Istanbul in terms of the total stock of prime office space. It is also the tallest building in this area. Construction was completed in 2004, and major tenants include Shaya Group, Tajo Health and Telia Sonera.
