Colliers International is pleased to announce the Houston Police Department (HPD) has leased 44,779 square feet of office space in the 7125 Ardmore Street Office Building located in the South Main-Medical Center submarket. HPD will occupy the entire building over a ten-year term, with occupancy scheduled to begin in December 2009. Jay Kyle, Principal/SVP, and Charles Herder, Co-Chairman and Principal, in the Houston office of Colliers International represented the building’s landlord, Ardmore Professional Center. Chip Horne, Director, of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant.

Charles Herder stated that “this lease culminates extensive work over multiple years in the redevelopment of what was once a major manufacturing/office complex for a division of Baker Hughes. The renovation of the office building and HPD’s presence is just one more reflection of the neighborhood revitalization. Herder noted that other future developments will be forthcoming as this project re-emphasizes the resilience of Houston’s commercial real estate market.”
