Colliers International-Houston Office Team successfully assists HISD in finding office space.

Scenario

HISD Superintendent, along with Area IV administration leads, asked for assistance in the relocation of the entire Area IV office facilities.  Area IV was occupying space at Jack Yates High School.  The school required this space due to the increased enrollment.  Asked to locate a facility that would be centrally located with attention being placed on transportation and access.

Challenge

Relocation of the Area IV office (facilities and personnel) of HISD within a short time frame  

Services
  • Develop a transaction which allows all of Area IV employees to be under one roof
  • Negotiated the lease agreement with term allowances for growth opportunities
  • Worked diligently with HISD to foster a prudent business relationship
  • Worked with the real estate and legal departments of HISD to insure appropriate language in the lease agreement
  • Provided feasibility studies for parking and office space usage
Results

Managed the transaction from conception through move in and completion
