Eggs n’ Things moves closer to its Waikiki customer
Pacific Business News, 2008-08-22
by PBN Staffs

Honolulu, Hawaii/USA

The popular breakfast eatery Eggs ‘n Things will close its restaurant at 1911-B Kalakaua Ave. on Aug. 31 and reopen in a new Waikiki location by Nov. 1.

Eggs ‘n Things will move to the two-story, 2,400-square-foot building at 339 Saratoga Road, which was home to the former Caffe Latte restaurant, according to broker Ikuyo Kato of Colliers Monroe Friedlander.

Eggs ‘n Things, which will occupy both floors of the building, decided to move to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Its current Kalakaua Avenue location is accessible only by stairs.

Kato said the move will bring the restaurant a couple of blocks closer to its Waikiki tourist base but it also plans to attract local residents with kamaaina specials and street parking.

In addition, Eggs ‘n Things will reopen with adjusted hours, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., instead of its current 11 p.m. to 2 p.m. schedule.

Jan and Jerry Fukunaga founded the restaurant in 1974.
