July 13, 2008, Honolulu, Hawaii – Colliers Monroe Friedlander has been selected by Kamehameha Schools to assume property management of a property portfolio consisting of thirty-two retail, office and industrial properties totaling over 2.1 Million square feet. The portfolio consists of various properties throughout Oahu in the Kahala, Moiliili, Kapalama and Kakaako areas as well as the Keauhou Shopping Center located in Kona on the Big Island. The properties include those currently managed by Colliers as well as properties previously managed by other property management companies.

Kamehameha Schools, founded in 1887 by the will of Bernice Pauahi Bishop, exists to create high educational opportunities in perpetuity to improve the capability and well-being of people of Hawaiian ancestry. Kamehameha Schools is also the largest private landowner in the state of Hawai`i. The award to Colliers allows Kamehameha Schools to consolidate its commercial property portfolio and retain a single property management firm to assist in the daily and strategic operations of those properties.
