Cassidy & Pinkard Colliers today announced that it arranged the sale of Woodland Pointe, a new 184,747 square foot, trophy office building located in Herndon, Virginia. Bill Collins, Paul Collins, Drew Flood, and James Cassidy of Cassidy & Pinkard Colliers represented the seller and developer, Tishman Speyer, in the sale of the building to Hamburg, Germany-based Union Investment Real Estate AG, advised by Metzler North America.

Woodland Pointe is a brand new trophy building sited directly adjacent to the Dulles Toll Road. The building will serve as the headquarters for Volkswagen of America. Woodland Pointe’s location provides unparalleled Toll Road signage and identity for Volkswagen as it relocates to the area, as well as excellent access to Washington Dulles International Airport. Volkswagen will join the extensive list of corporate tenants located in Woodland Park, one of the foremost Class A business parks in Northern Virginia, which boasts an office vacancy rate of just 1.5 percent. Tishman Speyer will continue to provide property management services for Volkswagen.
