Cassidy & Pinkard Colliers today announced that it secured equity and debt financing for the National Cancer Institute at Riverside, located in Frederick, Maryland. Paul Collins and David Webb of Cassidy & Pinkard Colliers arranged the financing on behalf of the Matan Companies, which has teamed up with Federal Capital Partners.
National Cancer Institute at Riverside is a planned 330,000 square foot world-class cancer research and biopharmaceutical development facility located in Riverside Research Park. The state-of-the-art $200 million office and laboratory facility will commence construction immediately and is slated for delivery in mid 2011. The property is 100 percent leased on a triple net basis to SAIC-Frederick, National Cancer Institute’s (NCI) Research and Technology Partner. NCI, the oldest and largest Institute within the National Institutes of Health, is funding the setup and operations of the new cancer research facility through its contract with SAIC-Frederick, Inc. The Matan Companies will develop and manage this project, which will be the catalyst to expand NCI’s Advanced Technology Programs and provide room for NCI’s long-term growth needs.
