Shoppers' Paradise

If you thought the mall was crowded, consider the annual conference of the International Council of Shopping Centers, taking place this week in Las Vegas.  A record 40,000 people are attending the show, which runs through today, and many say times are about as good as they get.

"All the valves are wide open," says J. Patrick Duffy, president of a Colliers International affiliate in Tampa, Fla., as more than 200 of his firm's brokers worked deals in the company's cramped booth.
