CTMT Announces James A. Donlin as Managing Principal
Colliers, 2009-09-04
by Flannery M. Higgins

Cincinnati, Ohio

Colliers Turley Martin Tucker (CTMT), Cincinnati’s largest full-service commercial real estate firm, today announced the hiring of James A. Donlin as managing principal. Donlin will provide leadership for Cincinnati’s staff of 115 associates, including 48 licensed professionals. In Dayton, he will oversee 9 associates, which includes 7 licensed professionals. Donlin’s priorities will be to focus on business growth, recruiting and staff development.

Donlin first made ties to Cincinnati while earning a B.S.B.A and later an M.B.A. at Xavier University. He brings over 20-years of successful business development and management experience to CTMT. Donlin most recently served as president and CEO of Van Millwork, a supplier of interior trim and architectural millwork, located in Boston, MA. Previously, he was president and CEO of Westye Group Southeast, an upscale appliance distribution company selling the Sub-Zero, Wolf, Best, Independent and KWC brands. He has also held positions with Sub-Zero Freezer Co., Pella Windows & Doors, and FMC Corporation.

“Jim is a necessary and welcome addition to our Cincinnati office. His experience as a leader of large sales organizations will be a tremendous asset to our employees and clients,” said Mark E. Burkhart, president and CEO of CTMT. “Jim’s experience outside the commercial real estate industry will provide fresh perspective to key areas within our operation.”

“From my view, CTMT is an incredibly dynamic company. Despite the slowdown in the economy, and unlike other real estate firms, CTMT continues to be profitable, to grow, and to invest in personnel,” said Donlin. “I’m looking forward to the opportunity to build-on and strengthen the Cincinnati & Dayton offices.”

Donlin will start work on September 8, 2009 and will succeed interim managing principal, Jeffrey R. Bender. Donlin and his wife, Kathleen, are in the process of relocating to the Greater Cincinnati area. Bender, a senior vice president at CTMT, will return full-time to his role representing institutional owners and corporate occupiers in the marketing, acquisition and disposition of industrial properties.
