Jeffrey J. Kapcheck, SIOR, Principal; and Brian W. Kling, Vice President; both with Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler Inc.’s Industrial Services Group (Colliers B&K), negotiated a new 453,000-square-foot long-term lease on behalf of owner PNC Realty Advisors at 350 Rohlwing Road, Addison, IL. The tenant was Domtar Inc., a producer of specialty and fine paper products. Headquartered in Quebec, Canada, Domtar designs, manufactures, markets, and distributes a wide range of fine paper products for a variety of consumers including merchants, retail outlets, stationers, printers, publishers, converters and end-users. The Company is the largest producer of uncoated freesheet papers in North America with 4.9 million tons of fine paper capacity in 15 paper mills. The Company operates a paper distribution unit with more that 80 paper distribution facilities strategically located across North America.

Domtar required a new Chicago-area distribution facility and selected the former 453,000-square-foot Pampered Chef facility primarily due to its active rail service and I-355 location. The facility features 36,000 square feet of office, 20 interior docks, 20 exterior docks, 2 drive-in doors, and 26’ clear ceiling height. Domtar assumed occupancy in December 2007.
