2009 Q4 Market Viewpoint
The fourth quarter 2009 represented the sixth consecutive quarter of contraction in the leasing markets, with 540,000 square feet of negative absorption.

2009 Q3 Market Viewpoint
The overall vacancy rate increased from 17.6% to 18.0% during the quarter as total occupied space decreased by 640,000 square feet. This represents the fifth consecutive quarter of net negative absorption and nearly 4 million square feet of negative absorption year-to-date.

2009 Q2 Market Viewpoint
The overall vacancy rate in the greater Boston office and R&D markets increased two percentage points during the first half of 2009—from 15.6% to 17.6%—as 3.2 million square feet of negative absorption was recorded.
