Case Study: 100 Cambridge Street

100 Cambridge Street is located at the foot of Beacon Hill, on the edge of the Financial District and the Government Center area of downtown Boston. This unique mixed-use renovation project, a successful partnership between the public and private sectors, completely reconstructed the 22-story former Leverett Saltonstall state office building and added 34,500 square feet of new street-level retail space and 75 new luxury condominium units along Cambridge, Bowdoin and Somerset Streets.
The plaza between the existing Saltonstall and McCormack Buildings was rebuilt with memorial gardens. The project renovated the existing underground garage, offering a favorable parking ratio to office tenants. The project's new four- and five-story brick buildings and ground-level retail space will serve to stimulate the streetscape with active urban uses. Construction is complete except for some tenant installations.
