William Scotsman, a $450 million company headquartered in White Marsh, Maryland, provides leasing, sales and service of mobile office equipment and storage containers.  They had outgrown their site and needed to locate to a larger facility.

Challenge

  • Sell existing site and achieve maximum sales price.
  • Settlement must occur prior to 3rd quarter for accounting purposes.
  • Price and configuration of land and buildings were not easily sub-dividable, making the property a challenge to market.

Services

  • Colliers Pinkard developed a marketing brochure which included property specific information needed for potential buyers.
  • Colliers Pinkard’s Appraisal Department provided an Opinion of Value which established the asking price for the property.
  • The Pinkard Marketing Team contacted the local brokerage community as well as users and developers and located a potential buyer who saw value and potential for the property.

Results

  • Colliers Pinkard completed the sale of William Scotman’s 7.3+ acre site for $1,650,000.  The transaction included arranging a post-closing occupancy, which was in the interest of both the buyer and the seller.
