Colliers International was named Commercial Agency of the Year at the Real Estate Institute of Australia’s 2007 National Awards for Excellence.

“This award recognises the ongoing success of our efforts to deliver specialised service excellence and achieve outstanding results,” said Colliers International Chief Executive – Australia, John Kenny.

Colliers International’s market strength was on full display with both the New South Wales and Victorian businesses were represented as finalists in the award.  ACT Investment Sales State Director Jim Shonk, was also finalist for Commercial Salesman of the Year.

Mr Kenny said the win was a triumph for the entire business. 

“Our national team approach has been vital to our success,” said Mr Kenny.

“While the plaque on the trophy may specify Commercial Agency, the key judging criteria focused on the areas such as business planning, client service, professional development and marketing. Our strength and success in these areas is consistent across all locations and services.”

The REIA National Awards for Excellence aim to encourage, recognise and promote excellence and best practice in the real estate profession.

Colliers International also won Commercial Agency of the year in both the New South Wales and Victorian REI state Awards for Excellence for two years running in 2006 and 2007.
