Colliers International has expanded their Hotels and Leisure division by recruiting two new highly specialised operators across the team’s Investment Sales and Consultancy and Valuation arms.

Colin Revelman joins the Hotels and Leisure team as Executive - Investment Sales and Tim Miles has joined as Senior Valuer - Consultancy and Valuation.

Colliers International’s National Director of Hotels & Leisure Michael Thomson said the expansion would allow the group to meet the increasing demand for specialist services across the industry, in particular in the pubs and clubs sectors.

Mr Revelman joins Colliers International with more than 20 years experience in the hospitality and real estate industries.  Mr Revelman has previously worked in commercial and industrial property with Raine & Horne and holds an in depth knowledge of pub and club operations through roles as General Manager with Rydges Hotels and Resorts, and General Manager of the Brooklyn Hotel Sydney.

Mr Miles was previously with Landmark White and has significant experience in providing valuation and consultancy advice on a range of licensed and leisure properties, including pubs, clubs, hotels, motels and backpacker accommodation. Prior to commencing his valuation career Mr Miles enjoyed a successful career in the hospitality industry.

Mr Thomson said that employing property professionals with direct operational experience in the hospitality sector was part of Colliers International’s ongoing strategy to provide specialised knowledge, services and skills to clients.

“2007 saw growth in occupancy and room rates across all state capitals,” said Mr Thomson.

“The first quarter of 2008 has shown owners are keen to take advantage of the strong trading results with several significant assets on the market.”

“Colin and Tim also strengthen our specialisation in the pub market which is very much a target growth area for our business,” he said.

“Direct knowledge of the hotels and leisure industries, together with a strong record in property services provides added opportunity to offer service excellence for our clients in this highly specialised field,” said Mr Thomson.
