Lawrence A. Kell, CRE manages the Appraisal and Consulting Department.  Larry joined the firm as a member of the financial investment team in 1972 and four years later, was appointed to head the Appraisal and Consulting department.

Larry received a Bachelor of Arts degree, Cum Laude, from Park College; and a Masters degree from the University of Missouri.

Achievements

A recognized authority in analyzing income properties, he has directed bank and real estate investment trust asset swaps, analyzed portfolios of real estate holdings as large as a half billion dollars; conducted a 10 shipping center appraisal for more than $100 million financing and has valued major office buildings in excess of $100 million in market value.

Mr. Kell’s experience is as well-known nationally as it is locally.  He served as President of The Counselors (CRE) in 1992.  Kell edited its publication, “The Counselor” for three years; served as chairman, vice chairman and member of The Counselors’ key committees and task forces, and represented The Counselors for six years on the NAR executive committee.

Larry is a contributing author to the book, “Real Estate Counseling” and has written numerous articles for “The Appraiser” and for the Cleveland Area Board of Realtors, where he served as a director for three years.  He served a three year term (1991-1994) on the Ohio Appraiser Board, an appointment by Governor George Voinovich.

Larry was a speaker at the 13^th Pan Pacific Congress in Honolulu, Hawaii, in February, 1986 and 15^th Pan Pacific Congress in Seoul, Korea, in September of 1990; the keynote speaker at the 1^st International Real Estate Consulting Seminar hosted by the Korea Association of Property Appraisers (KAPA), in Seoul, Korea, in September 1996; conducted a Counseling Workshop and addressed the 4^th Polish Real Estate Kongress, in Warsaw, Poland, in April of 1998.
