As an investment services specialist in the Baltimore, Maryland office, Mr. Carpenter is responsible for the origination and execution of investment sales and capital markets transactions on behalf of the firm’s expanding client base in Maryland and North Carolina. 

Mr. Carpenter has worked extensively in the Baltimore and Washington, DC markets, and has been involved in transactions with a total value in excess of $2.2 billion during his 10-year career in commercial real estate.  During this time, he has developed extensive expertise in financial and market analysis, deal structuring, and document negotiation for investment transactions involving all property types.

As Director of Investments for Corporate Office Properties Trust (COPT), Mr. Carpenter was involved in the purchase and sale of over $1.6 billion of office, industrial, and retail real estate during his 6-year tenure.  During this time, Mr. Carpenter worked in major markets across the United States, including Baltimore, MD, Washington, DC, Denver, CO, San Antonio, TX, Northern and Central New Jersey, and Central and Eastern Pennsylvania.

Prior to COPT, Mr. Carpenter was a part of the Trammell Crow Company Mid-Atlantic Investment Sales team, where he underwrote and assisted in successfully marketing approximately $600 million of office, industrial, and retail properties in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Mr. Carpenter has recently been focused on organizing Colliers Pinkard's distressed services team in reaction to the many requests by lenders and special servicers for Brokers' Opinion of Value (BOV).
