PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Doug joined Colliers Spectrum Cauble, Inc. in 1994 as a member of its Capital Markets Group. Since that time, he has been active in mortgage banking/brokerage, with insurance companies (and previously securitized “conduit” lenders) as his primary funding sources. Doug has also been active in the investment sales arena and sits on the firm’s Board of Directors. Doug is a Life Member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors’ Million Dollar Club, received its Phoenix Award in 2005 and was named its Member of the Month in December 2005. He holds a State of Georgia real estate license, and is actively involved with the Mortgage Bankers Association of America (MBA) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
While with Colliers Spectrum Cauble, Doug has received the “Sales Leader” award on three occasions, in 1999, 2002 and 2004. During the 3-year period from 2002 to 2004, Doug generated the largest average annual production volume of any Colliers Spectrum Cauble broker.
From 1985 to 1994, Doug was a Vice President with First Fidelity Mortgage Corporation of Atlanta. While with this commercial real estate financial services company, he originated and/or placed in excess of $500 million of mortgage loans, primarily with life insurance companies and pension funds. Doug played an instrumental role in establishing new correspondent lender relationships for the firm. His experience included a range of income-producing properties, with a particular emphasis on retail and single-tenant, credit-oriented transactions.
Doug began his real estate career in 1979 with Gordon H. Kolb Developments, Inc. of New Orleans. In his capacity as Vice President of this neighborhood shopping center development, leasing and management firm, he actively participated in all aspects of the development process. While with Kolb, Doug's tenant relationships included Winn-Dixie, Delchamps, Eckerd, Rite Aid, Howard Brothers and TG&Y.
