David Asakura is currently Account Manager with Colliers Monroe Friedlander. In this role he oversees leasing and management of 44 properties for Kamehameha Schools, Hawaii’s largest landowner. This Colliers-managed portfolio includes over two million square feet of retail, office and industrial properties with over 600 tenants.
Mr. Asakura coordinates the efforts of property management, leasing, and accounting teams, focuses on meeting the goals of owners’ asset managers, and ensures that excellent service is provided to Colliers’ institutional clients.
Mr. Asakura’s background in commercial real estate includes leasing and management of office and retail properties in Honolulu, tenant representation for lease transactions, and he has been the exclusive leasing agent for multiple properties in the Central Business District.
Prior to becoming a real estate professional, Mr. Asakura was the Manager of Information Systems and Facilities for the Honolulu office of one of the nation’s leading engineering and architecture design firms. In this role, he managed offices located throughout California, Hawaii and Asia. This diverse experience allows him to bring a unique perspective to clients with his valuable Information Technology, Building Engineering and Facilities Management background, which allows him to find real estate solutions that suit the various facets of their business needs.
