Daniel E. Arends has over fifteen (15) years experience in commercial real estate focusing his attention on representing tenants in the Metropolitan Chicago market.  He has been involved in assisting clients in over 1,000 assignments totaling over ten million square feet of office leasing transactions in his career.

Over the last decade Dan has established himself as one of the premier tenant representation brokers Downtown.  In 1999 he was one of three finalists for “Transaction of the Year” for his work with True North Communications, Inc.  In 2002 he was awarded “Most Prepared Broker” by Prime Real Estate Investment Trust.  In 2004, Dan was one of five finalists for “Office Broker of the Year”. In 2005, his team was awarded “Transaction of the Year” for their work with Sara Lee Corporation.

Prior to joining Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler, Dan was with Insignia/ESG and CB Richard Ellis where he was consistently one of the top producers in the Downtown office.

He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance from University of Wisconsin and his Juris Doctorate/Masters of Business Administration from DePaul University.  

Achievements

Dan is the current President of the Commercial Office Leasing Brokers Association (COLBA), and has been on its Board of Directors for three years.

Dan is a member of the United States Professional Tennis Association and City of Hope.
