Site selection of a 150,000 square foot manufacturing facility.
Challenge:
To determine the most cost effective location in the United States for the Client to locate a new plastics extrusion plant.
Services:
Business Climate ProfilesTM were completed, analyzing the business cost factors such as labor wage and benefit rates, and corporate tax rates. Tax incentives were researched and eligibility was determined. Colliers then performed the real estate site selection.
Results:
Assisted client in identifying requirements and limited search to cities within a two-hour flight from Toronto. From a preliminary list of 32 prospective cities, Colliers short-listed six cities in four states for consideration. Colliers also provided the Client CFO with operating cost evidence to support recommendation against relocating to the United States in favor of an expansion near current Toronto-area facilities.
