Cindy M.Y. Chung is a Certified Public Accountant with over 10 years of accounting experience. Prior to joining Colliers International, Ms. Chung served as a Consultant with Resources Global Professionals in Hawaii, where she worked on projects involving internal audits, Sarbanes-Oxley documentation and testing, policies and procedures documentation, monthly and year-to-date financial closings, as well as software conversion projects.
At Colliers Monroe Friedlander, Ms. Chung works closely with the property managers, accountants and leasing agents to ensure that the financial statements properly reflect the operations and leasing activities of the property. In addition, she works with all team members to address client requests in a timely manner. Ms. Chung has been instrumental in assisting with property audits, compliance with client policies and procedures, budgets and cash flow projections. She is also highly involved in reviewing common area maintenance reconciliations, including working with owners and tenants to resolve common area maintenance disputes.
Ms. Chung’s scope of responsibilities with Colliers Monroe Friedlander include:-Analyze and review monthly financial statements for accuracy and compliance with accounting method and client policy-Review monthly and quarterly financial narratives to ensure budget to actual variances are properly explained-Research tenant leases to prepare resolutions for common area maintenance disputes-Monitor compliance with client policies and procedures-Provide accounting treatment advice to property managers and accountants-Prepare monthly cash flow projections-Review budgets and forecasts
