Charles Canale is a Senior Vice President within Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler’s Industrial Services Group and a member of the Colliers Multimodal Services Group. He concentrates on assisting third-party logistics firms and consumer goods companies with mission-critical distribution centers and intermodal facilities across the globe.
He also focuses on marquee projects in the Chicago market, specifically along the I-55, I-80, and I-88 Corridors, representing clients in the acquisition, disposition, and development of industrial real estate.Charles is skilled in many facets of the real estate process including property valuation, site selection analysis, entitlement and incentive procurement, and transactional negotiations. He has worked with the Illinois Office of Real Estate Research on valuation projects, and his work is often published in academic and trade journals.
Previous Employment
Charles has been involved in commercial real estate brokerage since 1990, obtaining his brokerage license in 1993. Prior to joining Colliers B&K in 1997, he was president of the leading real estate company in LaSalle County, Illinois, overseeing a staff of fifteen people.

Charles was recently selected by HSA Development to handle two of its new industrial parks: Aurora Distribution Center, a 420,000-square-foot, two-building development in Aurora, Illinois; and Park 355, a two-building development totaling over 500,000 square feet in Woodridge, Illinois.
Among his other clients are Michaels Stores, Ryan Companies, First Industrial Realty Trust, General Dynamics, Exelon, Duke Realty, TA Associates, Waste Management, DuPont, BPG Property Group, and Brunswick Corporation.

Career Highlights
In 2003 and 2006, CoStar Group named Charles a "PowerBroker” recognizing him as one of Chicago's top 25 leasing brokers. His transactions were also named “Chicago's Featured Industrial Leases” in both 2003 and 2006. Additionally, in 2003 Charles completed one of the largest industrial real estate transactions in North America, the sale of a 1,546,872-square-foot ultra-modern distribution center in Manteno, Illinois to Kmart Corporation.
