After college graduation from the University of Virginia and completing two years as a Naval Supply Officer, Bick returned to Atlanta in 1971 and joined Tharpe & Brooks, a mortgage banking firm owned by Wachovia Bank. Working with mortgage correspondents and institutional buyers here and at Western Mortgage Company, he joined Colliers International in Atlanta in 1978. His primary focus has been with institutional sales and mortgage banking. Bick's expertise covers a wide range of real estate transactions including intermediate and permanent financing, joint ventures and investment sales. Bick became President of Colliers International in Atlanta on January 1, 1995 and Chairman on January 1, 2004.

Active locally in business and civic endeavors, Bick is a C.C.I.M., Past President of the Georgia Mortgage Bankers Association, member of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America, past Founding Board Member of the Society of Commercial Realtors, Associate Member of Urban Land and NAIOP. He is a recipient of the Atlanta Board of Realtors' Phoenix Award and Alvin B. Cates Award. He is an Active Life Member of The Million Dollar Club of the Atlanta Board of Realtors and its recipient of the "Top Twenty Producer Award" for many years. Bick is also the past Chairman of the Board of the Center for the Visually Impaired, Past President of The University of Virginia Atlanta Alumni Association, Past Member of The University of Virginia Arts and Sciences Alumni Board, Past Board Member and Treasurer of the Executive Committee of Midtown Business Association, and The 300 Club (a national charity supporting the families of policemen and firemen killed in the line of duty). He is also a past Board Member of the Westminster Alumni Board and Piedmont Driving Club.

Bick served as Junior Warden at Christ Church and was on the Executive Committee of the Atlanta Botanical Garden, & Chairman of the Board of Reflections Ministries. He is a previous member of the Board of Directors of Colliers International, Board Member of Central Atlanta Progress, Board Member Halpern Enterprises, Chairman of the Trust for Public Land Advisory Committee for Atlanta, and member of the Boards of Emory Eye Clinic and The Crossnore School.
